Hydro Flask says its powder coated bottles and tumblers are dishwasher safe, but its coffee mugs are not. Dishwasher damage to the coating is not covered by the warranty, so hand washing is the safer choice for the finish.
The steel body handles the dishwasher without any problem. What changes over time is the colored exterior, the lid seals and the small parts. If you care about the color staying vivid, hand washing keeps the finish intact, and it only takes a minute.

|---|---|
| Body | Stainless steel, which tolerates the cycle |
